On this morning there was a rattlesnake coiled in the nest, such snakes were many in those days, and as she was feeling for eggs the snake bit her. She lived for four days and during her suffering gave birth to a child, but the snakes venom was sufficient to destroy both lives. They were buried in the same grave." |
